1. 201 stainless steel pipes generally have poor corrosion resistance and are mostly used for decorative purposes, such as stainless steel railings, stainless steel handrails, and stainless steel security windows.

2. 304 stainless steel pipes possess strong corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and low-temperature resistance. They are mainly used for decorative and mechanical piping. Due to their strong corrosion resistance, 304 stainless steel pipes are used as decorative pipes for handrails, guardrails, and security windows in some coastal areas. Their heat resistance also makes them suitable for deep processing, such as punching and bending, for which 304 stainless steel pipes are generally preferred.

   Application of stainless steel pipes in petrochemical industry

   The petrochemical industry, including the fertilizer industry, has an extremely high demand for stainless steel pipes. The industry mainly uses seamless stainless steel pipes, with specifications including 304, 321, 316, 316L, 347, and 317L, with outer diameters ranging from ￠18 to ￠610 and wall thicknesses ranging from 6mm to 50mm (generally, medium and low pressure conveying pipe specifications of φ159mm or above are selected). Specific applications include furnace tubes, material conveying pipes, and heat exchanger tubes.
   

   For example, heat-resistant stainless steel pipes are mainly used for heat exchange and fluid transportation. Duplex stainless steel pipes are characterized by high strength, stress resistance, corrosion resistance, and economy, and are mainly used in chemical and fertilizer heat exchangers and fluid pipe markets. Stainless steel bushings, stainless steel non-magnetic drill collars for oilfield drilling production, and super ferritic stainless steel casings such as Cr13 and Cr25 with high resistance to CO, CO2, and Cl- corrosion are also available.
